Welcome to the FineSoccer Drills Newsletter. Today’s featured activity works on spacing and combination play.
Start with a 30 x 30 grid broken into quarters. There are two teams of twos in the middle and two supporting players for each team on the sides.
To start, a yellow player, on the outside, has a ball and passes to one of his teammates in the middle.
That player must pass to his teammate who must be in the quarter diagonal from the teammate.
That player passes to his teammate on the outside who then passes to the other player on his sideline.
The black team then does the same thing.
The points to emphasize are to utilize the space and to move off of each other.
Next add two defenders into the grid.
[wpsharely id="1204"][/wpsharely]Now the players have to work hard to get open and to work off of each other.
Do this activity for 2 minutes with no defenders and then rotate roles (players on the outside go to the inside etc) and then do for 2 minutes with defenders
Have a great day!
