Counter Attacking
Part 4: Numbers Up Game

To incorporate everything that the session entails I like to end with a game that has many different scenarios that players have to adjust to. As shown in Figure 1, the game simply starts out in a 2v2 situation. If one of the teams scores in this scenario, the still resets and 2 new players from each side step on.

However, if one of the teams attempts to score and it is saved, the defensive team gets to add a player. The goalie must distribute that player the ball and then they can attack in a 3v2 situation. This same scenario can play out all the way up to 6v6. As soon as a team scores the drill will reset. Figure 2 shows this scenario play out.

Note: Coaches can also call out a command for a player join at any point if they want certain scenarios to play out!
