Welcome to the FineSoccer Drills Newsletter. Today’s featured activity works on quick touches, sharp cuts and finishing
Start with two goals 40 yards apart with a keeper in each goal. There is a line of 6 cones 1 yard apart across the middle of the field. A line of players, with balls starts at one end of the cones.
The first player starts by dribbling through the cones and when he gets to the last cone, he cuts sharply and then hits a first time shot.
As soon as the player gets past the third cone, the next player starts. This player starts on the opposite side so he will shoot on the other goal.
Even with 8-10 players in one line, there is very little standing around since the players have to shoot, retrieve their ball and sprint back for their next turn.
There are many variations as you can alter the way players go through each cone (inside of the foot, outside of the foot, roll over, pull cruyff etc)
The key to this activity is quick touches, sharp cuts and good finishes
Have a great day!
