By Lawrence Fine, Author of the FineSoccer Coaching Bible.

Welcome to the Goalkeeping Newsletter. Today’s featured activity works on hands, footwork, fitness and shot blocking.

Start with a keeper in goal and a server 15 yards out on an angle. The server has a few balls.

The server starts by volleying a ball directly to the keeper. The keeper must catch the ball.

The keeper then rolls the ball back to the server and sprints to the far post

gk181c

The server plays a first time ball somewhere between the near post and the center of the goal and the keeper has to dive and make the save.

The keeper then returns the ball and starts again.

Do this 10 times and then the server switches sides.
