Four Corners

By Keith Scarlett

This activity works on combination-play and off the ball movement.

Set-up:
A 40 yard x 30 yard grid with 5x5 yard grids on each corner.

There are three teams of four. Two teams are in the middle playing against each other, while the third team has one player each in each of the corner grids.

Here’s how it works:
The two teams in the middle play possession for a determinate amount of time. They score goals by connecting passes with the players in the boxes. Once the time is up, the team on the corners switches with one of the two teams in the middle.

Progress to rule where the player in the corner cannot play the ball to the same player who played it to them. They must return the pass to another player of the same team.
