Low Dives High Dives and Scrambles

Welcome to the Goalkeeping Newsletter. Today’s featured activity works on low dives, high dives and scrambles.

Start with a keeper in goal, a server 12-15 yards out with balls and another ball at the corner of the 6.

The keeper starts with a low ball to the keepers right. The keeper dives to make the save (either with a catch or parry).

The server then plays a high ball to the opposite corner (unless the server is highly skilled, it’s best for this to be a tossed ball). The keeper has to get up, sprint across the goal and dive to make the save.

The keeper then has to get up sprint to the ball at the corner of the 6 and dive for it as if it’s a breakaway.

After making this third save, the keeper would then relax.

Ideally, you would do this activity with three keepers. As soon as the first keeper makes the second save, the next keeper goes.

Do this 10 times to each side.

Have a great day!
