Welcome to the Goalkeeping Newsletter. Today’s featured activity works on short keeper distribution.
This activity requires one keeper and 5 field players. One field player starts behind the keeper and the others are 10 yards away with balls. There are 2 cones 15 yards to each side of the keeper.
The first player with the ball plays a ball to the keeper.
The keeper catches the ball and the player behind the keeper sprints out around one of the side cones. The keeper rolls the ball just in front of the players so he can dribble forward.
The player who receives the ball dribbles to the back of the line. The player who made the original pass sprints behind the keeper to take the original runners position.
The next player in line plays the next ball and they do the same thing in the other direction.
[wpsharely id="821"][/wpsharely]This is an excellent activity to work on good, short distribution, timing balls and finding the runner.
Have a great day!
