All the rage in coaching circles for awhile there are not a lot of opportunities for this to occur on the field and with the present emphasis on players keeping their spacing it lessens the chance of it occurring. However, adding this maneuver to your player's repertoire is a good idea.
Take Over patterns can occur anywhere on the field but in the tighter spaces of the attacking third or in the middle third of the field is where the pattern is most likely to occur. Areas of the field that players tend use the Take Over are near the penalty box and in the middle third of the field.
