Welcome to the FineSoccer Drills Newsletter. Today’s featured activity works on receiving balls under pressure and passing away from pressure.
Start with 3 players in a 20 x 20 grid with a ball.
The black player starts with the ball and passes to the blue player.
As soon as the pass is made the black player runs at the blue player to apply pressure.
The black player plays the ball away from pressure by passing to the yellow player.
The black player then makes a run and receives the ball back from the yellow player.
At that point, the activity starts again with the blue player passing to the yellow player and then applying the pressure.
[wpsharely id="1204"][/wpsharely]This continues for a 2 minute period.
Next do the same thing but the server starts with the ball in his hands and does a legal soccer throw in so the receiving player has to receive a ball from his hands and then play away from the pressure.
This type of an activity is an easy way to work on handling pressure and playing the ball away for young players but can also be used for more advanced players as well.
Have a great day!
