Objective
This session focuses on switching the point of attack with a 10v10 game.
Session 1

Set Up
- 10v10
- 4 Mini Goals
- The game is set up in one half of the pitch, full width and half a pitch in length
- The goals are positioned 5-7yds inside the touch line
- Balls are set up either end with each of the coaches
- The two teams set up in their team shape
- One team starts with possession and the objective is to make 10 consecutive passes
- The ball always starts with the respective coaches on the outside
Progressions
- Replace the coaches with GK’s giving the option to come back out
- Change the touches allowed by each player
- Change the goal scoring objective to challenge the players
Coaching Points
- In possession use the full area (make the pitch big)
- Movement and angles of support
- Opposite player stay wide to maintain the width and provide the option to switch
- If the wide player comes in then the FB can push forward
- Out of possession narrow up and press on the ball

Set Up
- 10v10

- The goals are positioned 5-7yds inside the touch line
- Balls are set up either end with each of the coaches
- The two teams set up in their team shape
- One team starts with possession and the objective is to score in either of the 2 goals they are attacking
- If they score a goal they retain possession and play from the coach in the defending half
- A goal can also be scored by making 10 consecutive passes to encourage the opposition to press and look to win the ball
- The ball always starts with the respective coaches on the outside
Progression
- Restrict the number of touches
- Change the number of passes to score a goal
- 1 touch finish on goal
Coaching Points
- In possession use the full area (make the pitch big)
- Movement and angles of support
- Support providing depth, width and height
- Opposite player stay wide to maintain the width and provide the option to switch
- If the wide player comes in then the FB can push forward
- Players looking to make forward runs
- Out of possession narrow up and press on the ball

- Balls are set up either end with each of the coaches
- The two teams set up in their team shape
- One team starts with possession and the objective is to score in either of the 2 goals they are attacking
- If they score a goal they retain possession and play from the coach in the defending half
- A goal can also be scored by making 10 consecutive passes to encourage the opposition to press and look to win the ball
- The ball always starts with the respective coaches on the outside
- An offside line is introduced 10-12yds from the goal lines

- As within the previous session
- Change of the offside line, increase the space in behind

- Players looking to make forward runs

- Timing of forward runs – runs from deep
- Defending team reduce the space between units
- Communication and getting up to the ball
