Organization - The sequence for this drill is: A short, quick 1-2,Followed by a deep, diagonal ball. Then a square pass.Then the pattern repeats itself.
Coaching Points
- Speed of play is emphasized in the short, quick 1-2 at the beginning of the play
- The diagonal ball must be driven and accurate
- Good approach to the driven ball
- Clean first touch on the receiving end
- Open up and play the ball square, off the back foot
- Lay-off pass must be weighted properly
- Keep the tempo high
